My fees are:
Therapy sessions are $175 per session
Each session is about 55 minutes
There is a $75fee for missed appointments without 48 hour notice.
Urgent calls will be billed at $45 per 15 minutes.
Some helpful information about insurance coverage:
Insurance covers some conditions such as types of depression and anxiety. Insurance does not cover couples counseling. If one person in a couple suffers from a covered diagnosis it is possible the other can attend sessions to help alleviate the condition.
Most insurances have what they call preferred providers. This indicates that these providers have signed an agreement to accept the payment that the insurance company negotiates with them. If your insurance has a preferred provider panel it is highly likely you will have less copay and less deductible if you see a therapist on their panel. Rare plans will treat "out of network providers" with the same criteria as in network. The only way to determine your plan is to check with your insurance. Generally the phone number is on the back of your card. You can call them and ask if I am on your panel (usually not as I do not join most panels). If I am not on your panel you can ask how they reimburse for "out of network providers" in outpatient mental health. I bill for clients when I am a preferred provider. Clients are asked to pay me and I will give a super bill which can be used to be reimbursed by the insurance.
I do not take Medicare or Medical
I am not a preferred provider for Blue Shield, Blue Cross, Aetna and many others so am considered an out of network provider on these plans.
Some clients like to make payments for sessions or copays on line.
